Sr Staff Application Engineer (Power Management)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; onsite position with no remote work available

What you will do

• Develop and qualify DC-DC power converter products using advanced control architectures for mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product engineering, R&D, firmware, and marketing to translate customer requirements into product features and roadmap feedback.
• Plan and execute product validation and characterization for performance, robustness, and customer-use-case compliance.
• Develop test plans, automate bench measurements, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.
• Create and review datasheets, application notes, user guides, design guidelines, and troubleshooting FAQs.
• Support silicon bring-up and customer configuration, including GUI, firmware, PMBus, loop compensation, sequencing, and telemetry setup.

Requirements

• Minimum experience: BS plus 10 years, MS plus 8 years, or PhD plus 5 years in the power management industry.
• Experience with multiphase controllers or SPS products powering Intel, AMD, or SoC systems.
• Understanding of DC/DC topologies, control loop theory, magnetics, and power converter applications.
• Proficiency with network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and automated laboratory testing.
• Experience with PCB CAD tools for schematic and layout design, and SIMPLIS or a similar switching-regulator circuit simulator.
• Mixed-signal integrated circuit and system knowledge, mobile power management experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
