What you will do

• Lead scientific efforts in mammalian expression and cell line engineering for the discovery and optimization of antibodies, bispecifics, and next-generation protein therapeutics.
• Develop host cell engineering and mammalian expression strategies that improve productivity, product quality, scalability, and speed.
• Execute wet-lab experiments using high-throughput bench-scale and medium-scale shake flask production systems.
• Apply data-driven approaches and partner with informatics and automation teams to build reproducible, scalable expression workflows.
• Collaborate with protein engineering, molecular biology, analytics, process development, and data science teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship while contributing to publications, patents, presentations, and technology implementation.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant postdoctoral experience; or a master’s degree with 3 years of cell biology experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of cell biology experience.
• Strong expertise in mammalian cell biology, expression construct design, host cell engineering, and expression strategies for protein therapeutics.
• Experience developing or implementing data-rich, automated, or high-throughput expression and cell engineering workflows.
• Understanding of how protein sequence, structure, and biophysical properties affect expression, quality attributes, and downstream developability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary, matrixed research teams.
