AOS Improvement Leader (Lean Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Kinston, North Carolina, United States; requires approximately 10% domestic and international travel, including travel overseas, work around production areas, flight lines and airstrips, and changing indoor and outdoor locations.

What you will do

• Define and deploy operational ways of working aligned with hirify.global industrial strategy, AOS, Lean and continuous improvement principles.
• Advise plant managers, senior managers, Directors, Senior Directors and other leadership stakeholders on business priorities, performance improvement and sustainable results.
• Deploy business improvement and transformation roadmaps, select or define Lean/AOS standards, and establish governance, steering and consolidated AOS architecture strategies.
• Lead industrial maturity assessments, task forces, diagnoses, solution definitions, implementation activities and results achievement.
• Facilitate vision, Hoshin Kanri, macro VSM, business VSM, kaizen, Gemba and shop-floor exercises, including coaching senior management.
• Design and deliver coaching, mentoring, training and knowledge transfer while identifying competence gaps and sharing internal and external best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in operations and Lean/continuous improvement projects, with demonstrated tangible and sustainable results.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, production management and industrialization principles.
• Experience implementing and optimizing industrial systems, including conception, implementation and production-process management.
• Project management experience involving multifunctional teams and financial aspects.
• Good communication, active listening, proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proven coaching and training competencies, leadership and assertiveness to influence stakeholders and challenge the status quo.
• Eligible for employment in the United States.
• Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including occasional lifting or carrying up to 30 lb/14 kg, prolonged standing or sitting, walking through production areas and working on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces.

Nice to have

• APICS basic level, Six Sigma/Lean Black Belt, Kepner Tregoe or equivalent qualification.
