Senior Project Manager, Store Design

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage retail store design projects from initial concept through store opening across full-price, off-price, and travel retail locations.
• Develop preliminary floor plans and conceptual storefront renderings for internal approval.
• Coordinate with international partners and cross-functional teams across retail, visual merchandising, store operations, IT, the Middle East, Asia, and wholesale.
• Review project timelines and budgets, conduct site visits, and oversee the implementation of design plans.
• Coordinate architectural landlord, bid, and construction documentation and review millworker fit-out shop drawings.
• Manage design approvals, material sourcing, procurement processes, and guidance for project managers and coordinators.

Requirements

• 7+ years of project management experience in retail projects.
• Portfolio demonstrating both pure design and field construction experience.
• Experience in a traditional design firm and field construction is strongly preferred.
• Ability to develop concept sketches and manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and tight deadlines.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, follow-up, organization, and collaboration skills with teams across different regions.

Nice to have

• Degree in architecture or interior design.
• Previous experience with international retail projects.
