Strategic MBSE Requirements & ICD Lead (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in a secure facility in El Segundo, California, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active, in-scope TS/SCI clearance are required. Travel is minimal; standard work hours apply.

Salary: $135,000–$201,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the development of Interface Control Documents for spacecraft, ground systems, payloads, and cross-system interfaces.
• Create interface diagrams, data dictionaries, message formats, command and telemetry mappings, and system-level interface descriptions.
• Identify interface risks, drive technical issue resolution, and support system integration and test activities.
• Coordinate Interface Control Working Groups and collaborate with configuration management teams on Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards.
• Align MBSE models with technical baselines, ICDs, and requirements flowdown.
• Prepare acquisition and technical requirements briefings, plans, papers, and decision-support documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of experience working on Department of Defense programs and 5+ years of experience with architecture modeling and MBSE.
• Direct experience developing or managing ICDs for complex systems.
• Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems and flight hardware, including avionics, payloads, RF communications, power, GNC, thermal, and propulsion.
• Proficiency with Cameo, DOORS, MATLAB, SysML, UPDM, DoDAF, and Microsoft Office.
• U.S. citizenship and an active, in-scope TS/SCI clearance are required; the role must be performed onsite in El Segundo.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering.
• Experience with space systems, space or ground segments, space acquisitions, and satellite hardware or software development.
• MBSE certification such as OCSMP or professional certification such as INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, ASEP, or PMP.
