Windows System Administrator

Location: Onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Standard hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional night-shift work during test events.

What you will do

• Support simulated ground-test infrastructure and system reconfiguration.
• Install, rebuild, configure, and upgrade Windows servers and systems.
• Install operating-system and application patches and apply DISA STIGs.
• Troubleshoot operating-system, hardware, and software problems.
• Resolve and document system errors and resolutions.
• Support testing activities in a secured defense environment with minimal travel.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and a current, in-scope Secret security clearance are required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or four additional years of experience.
• 0–3 years of related work experience and experience in Windows system administration.
• Security+ or another DoD Instruction 8750.01 certification, or the ability to obtain it within six weeks of hire.
• Windows certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Experience installing, rebuilding, and configuring Windows systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in a Department of War environment, test and/or missile defense systems.
• Familiarity with Windows domains and RSA.
• Experience working in secured spaces.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn and share knowledge.
