Senior SDET - Test Automation & Performance Engineering (AWS)

What you will do

• Design and evolve automated testing architecture across products and engineering teams.
• Build reusable API, integration, contract, end-to-end, regression, and appropriate UI test frameworks.
• Develop test fixtures, synthetic data, mocks, reliable environments, and strategies for distributed services running in AWS.
• Design and execute load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, degradation, and recovery tests with measurable thresholds.
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality, latency, reliability, and performance release gates.
• Improve test observability, diagnose failures across applications and infrastructure, reduce flaky tests, and coach engineers on shared quality ownership.

Requirements

• Strong experience as an SDET, Software Engineer in Test, Test Automation Engineer, Quality Engineer, or similar engineering-focused testing role.
• Strong software development and test automation skills, including API, distributed services, integrations, and cloud-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS environments and automated API and integration test frameworks.
• Performance and scalability testing experience with k6, Gatling, Locust, JMeter, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with CI/CD integration, automated quality gates, contract testing, test-data management, fixtures, mocks, and environment reliability.
• Strong debugging and observability skills, including the use of logs, metrics, and traces to diagnose failures and reduce flaky tests.

Nice to have

• Experience testing high-scale SaaS or distributed platforms with significant traffic, concurrency, or availability requirements.
• Experience with resilience, failure injection, dependency degradation, recovery testing, infrastructure-as-code, or ephemeral test environments.
• Experience with security-adjacent testing, including authentication, authorization, permissions, isolation, and negative-path scenarios.
• Identity, DNS, registry, security-domain, or cross-team quality platform experience.
