Senior Ceded Reinsurance Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $101,500–$160,000 annual base salary, with compensation based partly on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead the administration and implementation of complex ceded reinsurance programs.
• Support ceded reinsurance placement and analysis in partnership with the Treaty Committee.
• Oversee facultative placements and coordinate treaty renewals.
• Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, liability balances, and financial statements.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, accounting, claims, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Drive reporting standardization, process improvements, and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, risk management, accounting, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working with underwriting, accounting, and claims processes.
• Knowledge of broker-market reinsurance contract wording, insurance policies, and coverages.
• Experience with reinsurance placements, treaty administration, facultative placements, and financial, operational, or management reporting.
• Strong financial, analytical, organizational, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills, including statutory and GAAP reporting knowledge.
• Current U.S. work authorization is required; hirify.global will not provide sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 10 or more years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, or a related industry.
• Professional designations such as CPCU, ARe, or RPLU.
• Experience interpreting and negotiating reinsurance contracts, coordinating audits and visits, and supporting captive or fronting programs.
• Experience leading reporting standardization initiatives and supporting system testing or upgrades.
