Billing Associate Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs require. Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Starting pay: $17.00–$18.65 per hour, with final compensation based on experience.

What you will do

• Manage client billing and ensure procedures are billed according to contract requirements.
• Review and update client statements as needed.
• Print and mail paper and secondary claims.
• Scan documents to patient accounts and review correspondence.
• Follow up on correspondence while meeting regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of hospital billing experience.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification required within nine months of hire; certification is company-paid.
• Experience with insurance follow-up, Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and managed care.
• Ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations when business needs require.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in hospital operations, compliance, provider relations, or home health billing.
• Epic or Dorothy experience.
