Chief Actuary (AI)

Location: Remote - USA

Salary: $274,000–$356,000 USD base salary per year, plus equity and performance-based bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise actuarial function across pricing, forecasting, reserving, medical economics, Part D, Stars analytics, and Medicare Advantage bid strategy.
• Define the long-term actuarial vision and modernize workflows through AI, automation, and scalable analytical infrastructure.
• Build explainable, governed AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency, insight generation, and actuarial decision-making.
• Own actuarial opinions, reserve adequacy, IBNR development, regulatory requirements, model review, documentation, control, and validation.
• Partner with Finance, Clinical, Operations, Growth, Product, Data Science, and Engineering to support enterprise planning and executive decisions.
• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing actuarial organization, including organizational design, capacity planning, performance management, and talent development.

Requirements

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
• Significant leadership experience in Medicare Advantage actuarial functions, including pricing, reserving, forecasting, and bid development.
• Demonstrated experience deploying AI workflows and applying automation and modern tooling within a functional area.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives that influence executive decision-making.
• Ability to communicate actuarial methodology and business implications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of building, mentoring, and developing high-performing actuarial teams.
