People Operations Specialist

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: $108,000–$143,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Execute onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and other employee lifecycle transactions.
• Process Workday changes covering job data, compensation, organizational structure, and employment status.
• Respond to employee and manager questions, manage the People Operations ticket queue, and maintain FAQs and knowledge-base content.
• Coordinate immigration and relocation cases, including intake, document collection, status tracking, right-to-work checks, and vendor communication.
• Maintain confidential employee and mobility records, support audits, reconcile discrepancies, and track compliance deadlines.
• Produce operational reports and dashboards while improving workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures across Workday, Greenhouse, Asana, and related platforms.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR operations, HR coordination, shared services, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience executing employee lifecycle transactions in an HRIS, ideally Workday.
• High accuracy in high-volume, deadline-driven work and experience supporting employees through ticketing systems or shared inboxes.
• Ability to follow established processes, identify escalation points, and handle confidential employee data appropriately.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain processes plainly.
• Comfort working across multiple systems, time zones, and cross-functional teams. Applicants must meet applicable US export-control eligibility requirements, including being a US person or being eligible for authorized access.

Nice to have

• Experience with immigration, relocation, or global mobility coordination.
• Experience supporting employees across the US, EMEA, or APAC.
• Background in a high-growth technology, infrastructure, or multinational organization.
• Familiarity with Workday, Greenhouse, Asana, Fragomen Connect, or comparable HR and immigration systems.
• Experience documenting processes or creating knowledge-base content.
