What you will do

  • Perform cell culture and drug treatment experiments.
  • Prepare proteomics samples through cell lysis, digestion, peptide cleanup, and TMT labeling.
  • Run samples on LC-MS systems, including Orbitrap and timsTOF instruments.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and support instrument maintenance under supervision.
  • Maintain laboratory notebooks and sample metadata while collaborating with core users on sample processing.
  • Implement improved protocols, train junior staff, and support laboratory operations, supplies, and vendor communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in a mass spectrometry or molecular biology laboratory.
  • Experience operating Thermo and/or Bruker mass spectrometers is required.
  • Experience with mass spectrometry data analysis and quantitative methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Must work onsite in Boston, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and proteomics sample preparation.
  • Knowledge of statistical and computational methods and R programming.
  • Experience with Proteome Discoverer, DIA-NN, or Spectronaut.
