Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager (Global Biosimilars)

Location: Flex commuter to Thousand Oaks, California, with a minimum of one on-site day per month highly encouraged; approximately 10% travel.

Salary: USD 155,747.20–210,716.80 annually

What you will do

• Lead competitive intelligence strategy for multiple biosimilars pipeline assets and serve as a strategic thought partner to the Biosimilars Business Unit.
• Define key intelligence topics and questions, conduct hypothesis-driven primary and secondary research, and deliver actionable insight packages.
• Track competitors, including Sandoz and Celltrion, and translate intelligence into recommendations for business decisions, launch timing, market share, and long-range planning.
• Use Codex, generative AI, NLP, predictive analytics, automation, and other AI-enabled technologies to improve signal detection and insight quality.
• Integrate interviews, conference intelligence, clinical-trial databases, market databases, and regulatory data into competitive landscapes and scenario plans.
• Manage vendors and internal partners, lead red-team and war-gaming simulations, present recommendations to senior leadership, and support rapid-response congress debriefs.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree plus 2 years, master’s degree plus 4 years, bachelor’s degree plus 6 years, associate’s degree plus 10 years, or high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of competitive intelligence or similar experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical drug discovery and development, clinical trials, FDA/EMA regulation, and commercialization principles.
• Experience analyzing clinical trials, regulatory considerations, competitor launch timing, forecasting models, and market-share assumptions.
• Experience with proprietary technical, regulatory, and financial data sources such as TrialTrove, Cortellis, Evaluate Pharma, and PubMed.
• Proven project leadership, vendor management, executive storytelling, and collaboration across commercial, medical, and scientific teams.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in life sciences or business.
• Five years of hands-on experience in biosimilars or biologics competitive intelligence, strategy, or management consulting.
• Experience with LLM-based text mining, retrieval-augmented generation, dashboarding, and competitive or market intelligence.
• Ability to develop scenarios across the US, EU, Japan, China, and other key markets.
