Software Engineer (SME)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects supporting IT infrastructure.
• Integrate third-party components, create custom software capabilities, and improve existing code.
• Automate operations and maintenance tasks and recommend process improvements.
• Design, build, and deploy applications under the guidance of lead architects.
• Support advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data-intensive computational solutions.
• Contribute across the SDLC, including planning, requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment, quality assurance, architecture reviews, and resource estimation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, and systems integration.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with Terraform and GitLab.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, version control, testing frameworks, and scalable application design.
• Active Top Secret security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Terragrunt, Agile, and Maven experience.
• Government or Department of Defense application development experience.
• Cloud, big data, containerization, automation, DevOps, system integration, or performance optimization experience.
