Thermal Engineering Leader (Physics AI): Building and scaling an Asia-based forward deployment team that applies physics simulation and AI software to complex thermal management and semiconductor hardware design with an accent on customer engineering, cooling strategies, and simulation-led product adoption. Focus on guiding transient and steady-state thermal analyses, validating component reliability and power density, leading technical demonstrations, and translating customer feedback into product improvements.
Location: Singapore; remote role with moderate travel primarily within Asia and infrequent travel to the United States

is a startup building Physics AI software that combines traditional physics simulation with AI to help engineers design, verify, and optimize semiconductor and hardware systems.
What you will do
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing team of thermal engineers across Asia.
- Set technical direction, hire and mentor team members, and drive field execution.
- Partner with Sales to lead technical discussions, scope proof-of-concept evaluations, and deliver product demonstrations.
- Guide customer engineering teams through simulation setup, complex test cases, onboarding, deployment, troubleshooting, and account expansion.
- Translate customer pain points and workflow bottlenecks into actionable product and engineering feedback.
- Represent at semiconductor conferences and communicate competitive technologies and market positioning.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Expert-level mastery of commercial simulation software such as Flotherm, Ansys Icepak or Fluent, Simcenter STAR-CCM+, or equivalent.
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in thermal management and cooling solutions, either as a simulation practitioner or technical account manager.
- Deep familiarity with semiconductor electronics packaging, advanced 2.5D/3D IC packaging, or foundry ecosystems.
- Customer-facing experience, managerial or technical leadership experience, and the ability to mentor and scale engineering teams.
- Programming experience with Python or C++ for workflow automation or simulation-data parsing, plus strong technical communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with structural mechanical simulations, FEA/stress, signal integrity, or power integrity workflows.
- Experience commercializing EDA or CAE simulation tools for semiconductor and electronics enterprises.
- Technical pre-sales, application engineering, field applications engineering, or strategic technical sales experience.
- Experience with AI-assisted design or physics-based simulation workflows.
