Specialist, Middle Office Client Services

Location: Hybrid role in New York City, New York, United States of America

Salary: $95,000–$112,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Perform daily cash reconciliations for fixed income portfolios using external custodian information.
• Monitor cash balances and communicate projected positions to Portfolio Managers and Fixed Income Traders.
• Coordinate cash movements and support cash-related trade settlement activities.
• Investigate and resolve cash breaks, reconciliation discrepancies, and operational exceptions.
• Act as a liaison between Trading, Portfolio Management, Investment Operations, and external custodians.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects while meeting daily deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in investment operations, middle office, cash management, client services, or a related financial services environment.
• Working knowledge of fixed income products, including Treasuries, corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, emerging markets debt, municipal securities, high-yield securities, and money market securities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with InvestOne, SmartStream, Bloomberg, Aladdin, or custody bank platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience supporting institutional investment management or fixed income portfolios.
