TL;DR
Group Leader - Data Review (GMP/Data Compliance): Leading a data review team while ensuring laboratory records, audit trails, logbooks, and chain-of-custody documentation meet GMP and procedural requirements with an accent on data quality, compliance, and operational accuracy. Focus on coordinating workloads, monitoring productivity and quality metrics, resolving documentation discrepancies, and developing reviewers through training and cross-training.

Location: Columbia, Missouri, USA; onsite and within a commutable distance of Columbia. Full-time, second shift, Monday–Friday, 12:00–20:00. The role is not remote; 25% travel may be required. No relocation assistance is provided.

What you will do

  • Review GMP data, logbooks, audit trails, and sample chain-of-custody records for accuracy, completeness, and procedural compliance.
  • Resolve discrepancies, annotations, and corrections with laboratory personnel while applying Good Documentation Practices.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of data reviewers.
  • Coordinate workloads, capacity planning, cross-training, scheduling, and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Track and report productivity and quality metrics and serve as a point of contact for client and internal teams.
  • Conduct safety and compliance walkthroughs, support hiring and onboarding, and deliver training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of cGMP experience and 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, integrity, and data-quality focus.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and collaboratively, and understand regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship and live within a commutable distance of Columbia, Missouri.
