VP, Strategy (AI)

Robots & Pencils is an applied AI engineering firm that designs and ships AI co-workers and digital systems for enterprise operations.

What you will do

• Lead AI and digital strategy engagements from opportunity discovery and problem framing through prioritization, roadmaps, and pilot planning.
• Map customer journeys, operational workflows, and decision points to identify opportunities for automation, AI, and digital solutions.
• Build executive-ready business cases that quantify value, define KPIs, and align stakeholders on outcomes.
• Create lightweight prototypes, agent demonstrations, and proof-of-concept experiences to test strategic ideas with clients.
• Define responsible AI governance covering privacy, human-in-the-loop controls, risk, and escalation paths.
• Facilitate executive briefings, workshops, and process redesign sprints while mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, management consulting, product strategy, or a related role.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, RAG, copilots, agents, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI principles.
• Experience prototyping and launching AI products and workflows in production using Microsoft Azure Foundry and Azure Foundry Agent Service.
• Ability to lead discovery and strategy end-to-end, including stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, opportunity sizing, prioritization, and roadmap creation.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, agent workflows, lightweight AI prototyping, and AI productivity tools.
• Practical understanding of data readiness, change management, adoption, governance, and scaling AI initiatives from pilot to production.

• Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks.
