TL;DR
AI Engineer / AI Architect (AI/ML systems): Designing, building, and scaling production-grade AI systems, platforms, model services, and inference pipelines with an accent on scalable architecture, MLOps, observability, and secure cloud-native deployment. Focus on operationalizing research prototypes, optimizing distributed inference and RAG performance, and leading end-to-end AI delivery.
Location: Remote-friendly from Colombia; applications from outside Colombia will not be considered

What you will do
- Define AI system architectures and translate ambiguous business opportunities into scalable technical approaches.
- Lead the design and implementation of ML systems, model services, inference pipelines, and AI platforms.
- Build training, evaluation, deployment, data ingestion, feature engineering, and model-serving workflows.
- Establish LLMOps practices, including CI/CD, prompt versioning, model observability, and agentic orchestration.
- Optimize distributed inference, RAG performance, reliability, security, compliance, and infrastructure costs.
- Mentor AI engineers, lead code reviews, guide architectural tradeoffs, and shape AI roadmaps with product, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or applied machine learning.
- Production experience designing and deploying AI systems, ML pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
- Strong software engineering background with Python or a similar language.
- Experience with distributed systems, scalable data architectures, MLOps, model lifecycle management, and AI infrastructure.
- Strong architectural judgment, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Must be based in Colombia; applications from outside Colombia will not be considered.
Nice to have
- Experience with generative AI, LLM systems, RAG, multi-agent or agentic AI systems.
- Experience with cloud-based AI platforms, infrastructure as code, or AWS.
- AWS Associate or Professional certification, or equivalent practical AWS expertise.
- Consulting or professional services experience.
- Experience designing AI systems in regulated or security-sensitive domains.
