Event Operations Manager - Palace Hotel

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; onsite hotel/convention-center work with possible assignments at multiple hotel locations

Salary: $70,304–$84,000 per year, with potential overtime, bonuses, or incentives depending on the position.

What you will do

• Manage daily floor operations and technician workflows to ensure equipment and services are delivered on time and according to client and hotel requirements.
• Supervise team members, including scheduling, timekeeping, task delegation, performance management, and development.
• Control equipment inventory, safety, security, quality assurance, and workforce-related costs.
• Review quotes and billing, recommend cost efficiencies, and identify potential operational challenges.
• Meet guests onsite, resolve service needs, oversee equipment setup, and support client satisfaction and onsite upselling.
• Attend event planning and pre-production meetings and coordinate with clients, vendors, hotel teams, and neighboring hirify.global properties.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of audio-visual and customer service or hospitality experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading workflows and operational team members.
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live-show environment.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, Microsoft Office, internet tools, and other business software.
• Ability to work irregular hours and on-call shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to meet the listed physical requirements.
