AI Engineer (Machine Learning & Generative AI)

What you will do

• Own defined production components within enterprise AI products and automation solutions, including models, inference services, pipelines, retrieval components, agent tools, APIs, workflows, and monitoring capabilities.
• Define component boundaries, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, support expectations, and technical estimates with product and architecture partners.
• Design and implement maintainable Python, SQL, API, data, model, retrieval, agent-tool, and workflow components with testing, documentation, and robust error handling.
• Build machine learning, GenAI, NLP, RAG, and bounded-agent capabilities, including embeddings, hybrid search, reranking, citations, permissions, and human approvals.
• Engineer batch and event-driven data, document, feature, embedding, label, and evaluation pipelines with validation, lineage, provenance, and access controls.
• Release and support components using cloud services, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, rollback procedures, incident response, and runbooks while applying Responsible AI, privacy, security, auditability, and GxP controls.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 4–6 years, bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years, or diploma with 9–10 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ownership of at least one production software, data, ML, GenAI, or automation component.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL, including software engineering and testing practices.
• Strong capability in at least one of classical machine learning, GenAI/RAG/agents, or MLOps/platform engineering, with working knowledge of adjacent areas.
• Experience with experimentation, model evaluation, data pipelines, cloud-scale systems, observability, versioning, and lifecycle operations.
• Ability to communicate technical assumptions, trade-offs, risks, and support implications; collaborate across business, product, architecture, software, data, and platform functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, scikit-learn, XGBoost, computer vision, NLP, GNNs, causal inference, or uncertainty estimation.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, hybrid retrieval, knowledge graphs, graph RAG, or evidence verification.
• Experience with AWS, Bedrock, SageMaker, Databricks, Spark, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, GxP, validated systems, or another regulated environment.
