Senior Acquisitions Advisor (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time onsite in Chantilly, Virginia, five days per week; this role is not remote or hybrid.

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Advise the Program Acquisition Executive on portfolio priorities, acquisition strategy, program execution, and resource allocation.
• Analyze budgets, expenditures, schedules, risks, dependencies, performance data, and investment alternatives across the SBST portfolio.
• Identify misalignment between strategy, funding, and execution and recommend corrective actions.
• Translate complex technical, acquisition, programmatic, and financial information into executive briefings, decision papers, summaries, and leadership narratives.
• Prepare leadership for senior-level reviews, budget discussions, acquisition decisions, and engagements with Space Systems Command and Space Force organizations.
• Provide independent advice on proposals, acquisition approaches, tradeoffs, affordability, emerging priorities, and high-visibility issues.

Requirements

• At least 15 equivalent years of experience in acquisition, program, portfolio, financial management, systems engineering, or related government support roles.
• Knowledge of Space Force acquisition, programming, budgeting, execution processes, and Major Defense Acquisition Program regulations and practices.
• Experience analyzing cost, schedule, performance, risk, budget, and portfolio data and briefing senior leadership.
• Master’s degree in business, management, engineering, mathematics, technology, operations research, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is also required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, independent judgment, and executive briefing skills.
