Paralegal - Blue Sky (Securities Regulation)

Location: New York

Salary: $102,000–$130,000 annually if located in New York, plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Manage SEC and state regulatory filings for more than 1,000 active hedge funds, commodity pools, and private equity funds.
• Prepare and file SEC documents and Blue Sky notices.
• Analyze fund offering documents to prepare regulatory filings.
• Coordinate daily with clients on sales management and regulatory filing requirements.
• Gather filing information from Sidley attorneys and maintain the proprietary Blue Sky website.
• Supervise and assist clients with use of the Blue Sky website.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with strong academic credentials.
• 4–7 years of experience at a large law firm or hedge fund.
• Experience or familiarity with hedge funds, offering documents, and SEC filings.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, judgment, interpersonal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, preserve confidentiality, exercise discretion, and work effectively under pressure.
