Product Owner (Backend Tolling Solutions)

Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Shape and support backend tolling solutions for electronic road-charging services.
• Define product vision and take end-to-end responsibility for backend products and services throughout their lifecycle.
• Create and maintain the product backlog, including detailed user stories.
• Align technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear communication.
• Apply agile methods and practices while supporting a positive team environment.
• Collaborate in an international, self-organized team working with T-Systems International.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, natural sciences, mathematics, business, or equivalent IT experience.
• More than three years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
• Experience creating and maintaining backlogs and user stories.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Java programming and proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
• Deep understanding of agile methods such as Kanban, Scrum, or SAFe, plus excellent written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, MongoDB, Kafka, reactive programming, Quarkus, REST/SOAP messaging, or Prometheus.
• Experience working in a SAFe environment or Product Owner certification.
• Knowledge of tolling products and services or German language skills.
