Architectural Engineering Expert (AI)

Location: Fully remote from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, or Peru

Compensation: Up to $40 per hour

What you will do

• Design advanced architectural engineering problems for AI training and evaluation.
• Create deterministic problems with exactly one verifiable correct answer.
• Write complete, verified solutions and document the reasoning process clearly.
• Develop scenarios involving building systems, structural design, HVAC, lighting, acoustics, energy performance, and building physics.
• Integrate architectural and engineering constraints across realistic workflows.
• Use computational modeling, BIM, energy simulation, and engineering tools to validate solutions where relevant.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Architectural Engineering, Building Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong research or industry experience with building systems, structural systems, energy performance, or building design.
• Strong quantitative and technical problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of building physics and integrated building systems.
• Ability to design original, difficult problems reflecting real architectural engineering workflows.
• Excellent technical writing skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, EnergyPlus, Rhino/Grasshopper, IES VE, OpenStudio, MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Background in sustainable building design, energy modeling, structural analysis, or computational design.
• Experience with BIM workflows, engineering standards, technical assessment design, or model evaluation.
