TL;DR
Architectural Engineering Expert (AI): Designing technically rigorous, deterministic problems and validated solutions for AI training and evaluation across building systems, structural design, HVAC, lighting, acoustics, energy performance, and building physics with an accent on quantitative reasoning, technical accuracy, and reproducible engineering workflows. Focus on integrating architectural and engineering constraints, applying computational modeling and BIM tools, and clearly documenting complex technical solutions in English.
Location: Remote from Brazil
Compensation: Up to USD $40 per hour

What you will do
- Design advanced architectural engineering problems for AI training and evaluation.
- Create deterministic challenges with one objectively verifiable answer.
- Develop complete, technically accurate, independently verified solutions and document the reasoning.
- Cover building systems, structural design, HVAC, lighting, acoustics, energy performance, and building physics.
- Integrate architectural and engineering constraints into realistic scenarios.
- Use computational modeling, BIM, energy simulation, and related engineering tools to validate solutions.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Architectural Engineering, Building Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong research or industry experience in building systems, structural systems, energy performance, or building design.
- Advanced quantitative reasoning and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Solid knowledge of building physics and integrated building systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a rigorous approach to technical verification.
- Strong English technical writing skills are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, EnergyPlus, Rhino/Grasshopper, IES VE, OpenStudio, MATLAB, Python, or similar platforms.
- Experience in sustainable building design, energy modeling, structural analysis, computational design, BIM workflows, engineering standards, technical assessment creation, or AI/model evaluation.
