Community and Member Advocacy Manager (Health)

Location: Remote within the United States; corporate roles are not hired in Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, or Wisconsin. Virta is remote-first, with office hubs in Denver and San Francisco.

Compensation: $45–$50 per hour, for 20 hours per week over a 12-week contract.

What you will do

• Recruit, onboard, and support member ambassadors organizing local meet-ups.
• Coordinate outreach, event communications, RSVPs, follow-up, waivers, calendars, and program documentation.
• Monitor and respond to member comments and direct messages across Virta’s social channels.
• Escalate and track member support cases while sharing recurring feedback and trends with Communications and Member teams.
• Identify compelling member health journeys and manage outreach, storytelling intake, approvals, and testimonial assets.
• Maintain a searchable member-story library and nurture relationships with advocates for future initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience coordinating community, ambassador, or customer event programs.
• Direct experience working with customers or members in a relationship-focused role.
• Experience supporting marketing campaigns or collecting customer testimonials.
• Experience with social media community management or customer care platforms such as Sprout Social.
• Experience with program management tools, Google Suite, and tracking or monitoring tools such as Amplitude or Ahrefs.
• Empathy and sound judgment when handling sensitive health-related conversations, plus proactive use of AI tools to improve efficiency.
