Founding Engineer London (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom; candidates should already be located there or want to move to London. Remote work is available for up to three months per year from a country of choice.

Salary: €90,000–€110,000 per year plus equity.

hirify.global is an early-stage fintech infrastructure startup building a horizontal technology layer that enables payment platforms to offer financial services to their existing business customers across Europe.

What you will do

• Build the embedded finance platform from the ground up alongside the founding team.
• Make core architectural decisions, select tools, and establish how the product is built.
• Design simple solutions that leave room for significant future scale.
• Translate customer needs into software and communicate with customers directly.
• Build and ship the platform for its first customer, then help scale it across Europe.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Production experience with Java, Kotlin, or a similar object-oriented language.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and sound architectural judgment.
• Product-minded approach with a clear understanding of customer needs and business value.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to build a product from its foundation.
• Comfort communicating directly with customers and a clear vision for product and software engineering.

Nice to have

• Fintech experience.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other developers.
