Senior Databricks Platform Infrastructure Developer (Databricks/Snowflake)

Location: Netherlands; hybrid work with regular in-person collaboration at the Weert office.

What you will do

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code for the Data Platform using Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, and change management practices.
• Own Snowflake and Databricks operations, governance, lifecycle management, workspace design, and account design.
• Define cost-management practices and collaborate with FinOps on forecasting and platform optimization.
• Implement observability and operational readiness through monitoring, alerts, dashboards, runbooks, and on-call practices.
• Coordinate with product teams and vendors on Snowflake and Databricks roadmaps and align platform capabilities with product needs.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing Databricks infrastructure at scale.
• Proven experience delivering reliability and observability for high-scale SaaS platforms, including SLOs, alerts, and incident response.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with infrastructure operations, governance, lifecycle management, and platform performance.

Nice to have

• Snowflake experience, including warehouse tuning, governance, and Terraform/DDL provisioning.
• Experience designing and operating hybrid data platforms integrating Databricks and Snowflake.
• Strong Spark skills, including tuning and partitioning of large jobs.
• Knowledge of security and governance best practices for both platforms.
• Delta Lake and lakehouse expertise, including table formats, CDC, compaction, storage layout optimization, and Databricks–Snowflake interoperability.
