Staff Software Engineer (Testing Tools and Frameworks)

Annual salary: $105,000–$260,000

What you will do

• Partner with business and engineering teams to translate testing complexity into appropriate tools, frameworks, libraries, and capabilities.
• Develop extensions, plugins, fixtures, and other framework layers to improve testing capabilities.
• Prototype new test vectors, approaches, tools, and methods.
• Build shared libraries that bridge gaps between teams and services.
• Develop practical tools such as Excel add-ons, data sanitation services, and command-line interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and performance or load testing.
• Deep familiarity with test framework internals or advanced topics in Pytest, Playwright, and TestNG.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Node, Java, or Python.
• Strong Linux system administration and shell scripting skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience developing large-scale performance test rigs for K6.
