Senior Software Engineer, Agent (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California or New York, New York; hybrid with in-person collaboration 3 to 4 days per week

Targeted cash compensation: $195,500–$264,500 annually, plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global builds a compensation management platform using real-time compensation data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to help companies make compensation decisions.

What you will do

• Build hirify.global's AI compensation analyst, an agentic system operating on proprietary compensation data and the existing workflow engine.
• Develop autonomous agents that reason over structured data and execute multi-step workflows such as market pricing, cycle planning, and attrition analysis.
• Shape the technical vision and deliver the product end to end through launch.
• Partner with engineers, data scientists, and Product to identify customer problems that AI can solve.
• Define technical primitives and patterns that other engineers can build on.
• Lead ambiguous 0→1 technical initiatives from concept to production.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building production systems.
• Deep hands-on expertise with LLMs, agentic architectures, retrieval systems, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong product intuition and the ability to shape product direction with Product partners.
• Proven experience leading 0→1 technical initiatives from concept to production.
• Pragmatic engineering judgment, technical alignment skills, ownership, and bias toward action.
