Site Reliability Engineer II

Location: Hybrid in Arlington or Reston, Virginia, United States; US citizenship and residence on US soil required. Rotational overnight and weekend shifts are required for 24/7 FedRAMP operations.

Salary: $70–$90 per hour, with an overnight/weekend shift premium included, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Monitor AWS Commercial, AWS GovCloud, and EKS infrastructure in real time and perform first-response incident triage.
• Investigate root causes at the log level using Kibana and Elasticsearch.
• Remediate CVEs and apply STIG hardening within FedRAMP SLA windows.
• Execute and troubleshoot deployments through GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, AWS services, and L4/L7 load balancing issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, systems administration, or cloud support.
• Solid Linux administration skills across RHEL, Amazon Linux, and Ubuntu.
• Comfort with Bash and Python scripting.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS, AWS core services, and L4/L7 load balancing troubleshooting.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and ChatOps through Slack.
• US citizenship, US-soil residency, and availability for overnight and weekend rotational shifts are mandatory.
