Manufacturing Engineer - Chemical

What you will do

• Provide technical support for daily chemical manufacturing operations and optimize processes, operating procedures, and process controls.
• Analyze process performance and collaborate with Quality and EHS teams on environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot chemical systems, filtration equipment, wastewater treatment processes, and related manufacturing operations.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Design and execute process validation, qualification, and continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and hirify.global Business System tools.
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–5+ years of process engineering or chemical processing experience.
• Knowledge of process optimization, statistical analysis, and root cause methodologies.
• Experience with manufacturing documentation, SOPs, and process control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work on-site in an industrial chemical processing environment and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial wastewater treatment, acid recovery, or environmental remediation processes.
• Value Analysis/Value Engineering and waste reduction experience.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Lean manufacturing, environmental permitting, wastewater discharge compliance, or chemical process safety management.
