Translational Project Lead Statistician (Biostatistics)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid. Open to US and Puerto Rico residents only.

Salary: $122,250–$176,583.33 per year

What you will do

• Own the statistical translational deliverables and strategies for assigned vaccine clinical development projects.
• Develop study protocols and exploratory statistical analysis plans, oversee analyses, and prepare clinical study reports.
• Provide statistical support for new assays, platforms, vaccine targets, and translational studies.
• Act as a statistical subject matter expert across research, immunology, biomarker laboratories, clinical development, and project management.
• Develop novel solutions for technical problems, produce technical reports and manuscripts, and present findings at external conferences.
• Promote the appropriate use of statistical tools and AI while ensuring quality and SOP compliance.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics.
• At least 3 years of experience in translational medicine or a related industry or academic field.
• Strong statistical methodology and computational skills, including required proficiency in R.
• Proven record of scientific publications.
• Ability to conduct original research and simulations independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively.
• Applicants must reside in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bayesian statistics, linear and nonlinear modeling, and machine learning methods.
