What you will do
- Analyze whole-genome, transcriptomic, epigenomic, and single-cell sequencing data from pediatric tumor samples.
- Lead studies of therapy resistance, tumor behavior, and clinical outcomes using patient-derived data.
- Design and implement algorithms for biologically and clinically motivated questions in pediatric oncology.
- Develop data-processing, analysis, visualization, and high-throughput pipeline tools.
- Integrate datasets, clinical outcomes data, tools, and databases for collaborative research.
- Maintain, document, and share code, tools, and datasets with external collaborators and repositories.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in genetics, computational biology, statistics, computer science, biomedical engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline; candidates with an M.D. and comparable research experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Significant computational biology research experience, including R and/or Python and cloud computing.
- Strong background in statistics and biology, with experience managing and curating large datasets.
- Ability to conduct self-directed and guided research, meet deadlines, multitask, and collaborate across computer science and clinical medicine.
- Ability to work onsite in Boston to support collaboration, learning, and research progress.
