Analytics Engineer (UK Cards)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid. Work from home is available on Mondays and Fridays, with in-office collaboration on the other weekdays.

What you will do

• Build and improve data models supporting lending decisions, pricing, portfolio analysis, and investor reporting.
• Develop and maintain robust ELT pipelines and transformation workflows.
• Collaborate with analysts, product teams, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable analytical datasets.
• Champion analytics engineering standards and help improve the team’s engineering culture.
• Triage pipeline issues and improve the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of data transformations.

Requirements

• Strong data modelling skills and understanding of how analytical datasets should be structured.
• Strong experience with ELT pipelines and transformation at scale, ideally using dbt.
• Experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse.
• Ability to identify workflow improvements and propose practical solutions.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve analytical and engineering workflows.

• 15-minute cognitive assessment.
• 90-minute onsite or video interview with an interactive architecture and design exercise.
• 60-minute discussion with primary stakeholders covering behavioural questions, product mindset, collaboration, and communication.
