Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Search & Recommendations)

What you will do

• Design, build and improve machine learning systems for search, ranking, recommendations and personalisation.
• Develop, deploy and maintain batch and real-time machine learning models in production.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers and Product Managers.
• Build recommendation capabilities for experiences such as Similar Items, People Also Viewed and personalised customer journeys.
• Improve the codebase, engineering practices and machine learning standards across the wider ML community.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing and technical collaboration.

Requirements

• Experience applying machine learning and deep learning techniques in production environments.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks, distributed computing technologies, distributed training infrastructure, GPU-based training and parallelisation.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, development lifecycle knowledge and MLOps experience.
• Experience developing reliable and scalable machine learning systems in production.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, collaboration and communication skills across engineering, science and product teams.
