Maintenance Technician - DAYS (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including injection and blow molders, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
• Maintain and repair facility and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis, and water filtration systems.
• Maintain industrial control systems and perform equipment modification, lubrication, and operation according to defined processes.
• Work with operators, supervisors, preventative maintenance mechanics, and senior maintenance technicians to resolve issues and improve uptime.
• Document repairs, work orders, parts usage, safety procedures, and equipment-related recommendations.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in the field or a similar maintenance environment, in the position, and managing people or projects.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, automation, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process instrumentation schematics.
• Experience using shop equipment and precision measuring tools, including presses, grinders, drills, mills, lathes, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments, work independently, resolve issues, and train others in a technical area.
• Own toolbox and basic tools required.

Nice to have

• Six years of maintenance, manufacturing, or people/project management experience.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics processing.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives and motors, PLC input/output cards, safety modules, and industrial communication systems.
• Experience with Krones, Sidel, Husky, rotary equipment, HVAC, chillers, air compressors, 480VAC and 24VDC systems.
• Fabrication skills, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
