Registered Nurse, RN - ICU 1 (36 Hour Nights 6:45pm-7:15am)

Location: ICU-1 Main Campus, Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time night shift, approximately 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

Pay range: $37.50–$75.32 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to ICU patients and their families.
• Conduct and document clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Apply nursing judgment, evidence-based practice, and research to changing patient needs.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate care appropriately, and coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Develop patient and family education and comprehensive discharge plans using appropriate referrals and community resources.
• Support new staff and guide professional growth through precepting, committees, and professional development.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Department-specific certifications relevant to ICU patient care may be required.
• RN experience must meet the requirements for the applicable Career Direct Care Pathway level: Level I, less than 12 months; Level II, 12 months to less than 3 years; Level III, 3 to less than 8 years; Level IV, 8 years or more.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
