Engineer, Production & Process Support

What you will do

• Provide on-site and off-site technical support for AB SCIEX production.
• Optimize, qualify, and validate manufacturing processes.
• Apply DFA and pFMEA principles to reduce manufacturing cycle time and improve product quality.
• Lead cost, first-pass yield, and internal DPPM improvement projects.
• Support product transfers and knowledge transfer between facilities, including design specifications, production-line setup, processes, tooling, and fixtures.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical engineering background; 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or lean environments is suitable, while candidates without prior experience may also be considered.
• Hands-on experience with precision-part assembly and alignment, tolerance stack-ups, micron-level measurements, GD&T, MSA, pFMEA, and DFA.
• Some experience with materials and systems engineering.
• Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams, vendors, suppliers, and contractors and lead projects effectively.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in a multidisciplinary product-development environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of vacuum-system parts, vacuum pumps, and leak-check troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ultrasonic cleaning and vapor degreasing.
• Knowledge of machining, sheet-metal fabrication, molding, casting, or related parts-fabrication processes.
