What you will do

• Monitor CCTV systems and electronic access into the control room to reduce theft and identify security violations.
• Monitor and analyse incidents, safety issues, hotspots, alarms, and emergency conditions.
• Communicate and guide protection services responses during incidents and emergencies.
• Compile irregularity, incident, shift, and security reports, and maintain security logs.
• Brief replacement personnel during shift changes and train or coach section personnel on control room procedures.
• Testify on evidence during hearings and follow up on completed incident reports.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Registered with PSIRA at Grade D level.
• At least two years of experience in a security environment, including CCTV surveillance and control room operations.
• English communication skills required for spoken, written, and reading communication.
• No criminal record, successful psychometric assessment, and ability to pass a polygraph test.
• Knowledge of emergency handling, camera technology, radio communication, alarms, response organisation, and production layouts and processes; computer literacy and strong observation skills.
