Field Applications Scientist, Immunoassay Specialist

Location: Remote within the Metro New York area, covering New York and Northern New Jersey; candidates outside the territory must be willing to relocate to the territory before starting.

Salary: $85,600–$140,800 annually, plus eligibility for a commission plan.

What you will do

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for Simple Plex Ella and Luminex immunoassay platforms.
• Assist customers with assay design, planning, platform correlation and bridging, data interpretation, troubleshooting, optimization, and validation.
• Present scientific seminars, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and evaluations at prospect and customer sites.
• Train and support scientists on instrument use, assay development, and data analysis.
• Travel to customer laboratories, conferences, scientific meetings, tradeshows, and vendor shows; travel is expected approximately 50% of the time.
• Share customer feedback with sales, marketing, product management, product development, and software teams while maintaining support information in Salesforce.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, or a related life science field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on immunoassay experience.
• Thorough understanding of immunoassay principles and their use across different research fields.
• Ability to independently perform assay and reagent troubleshooting, optimization, and validation experiments.
• Strong scientific communication, presentation, training, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time and provide support throughout the assigned territory.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in a relevant life science field.
• Previous Field Applications Scientist or technical support experience.
• Experience with immunoassay instrumentation and software, including Luminex and Ella.
