VP POS Fraud Strategy (Payments Fraud)

Location: In office in Newark, Delaware, or Phoenix, Arizona, United States

Starting base salary: $101,231–$172,355 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Lead and optimize POS fraud strategy and decisioning performance for cards and Zelle payments.
• Own the fraud rules engine framework to mitigate losses, optimize approval rates, and maintain portfolio health.
• Govern fraud rules oversight and performance analytics, including risk thresholds and KPI monitoring.
• Partner with product, technology, operations, and compliance to modernize fraud decisioning capabilities.
• Lead fraud-related enterprise transformation workstreams, including roadmaps, risk escalation, dependency management, and milestone delivery.
• Prepare business metrics, analytics, discrepancy reviews, technical communications, and process documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of financial services experience with deep knowledge of payment systems.
• At least 3 years of experience with Falcon or a comparable fraud strategy and rule-writing system.
• At least 3 years using reporting and query tools such as Brio, MS Query, MS Access, Excel, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, or Falcon scoring.
• Experience in payments or card fraud risk management, fraud rules engine optimization, KPI analysis, regulatory expectations, and enterprise program governance.
• Light to moderate proficiency with SAS, SQL, or comparable data management and reporting tools.
