Senior Highway Engineering Manager

Location: Must be based in or able to work in the New York/New Jersey area

What you will do

• Provide technical and client leadership for complex highway design projects.
• Serve as a mentor and advisor to staff on planning, design, and construction initiatives.
• Act as a Project Manager, overseeing production, budgets, and project deliverables.
• Support business development by identifying market opportunities and maintaining client relationships.
• Ensure quality and consistency through a Senior QA/QC role on key projects.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic plans and innovative transportation solutions.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in highway engineering, preferably within the NY/NJ area.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in New York and New Jersey (or ability to attain within 3 months).
• Master’s Degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
• Proven experience with NY/NJ agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, or NJDOT.
• Experience managing large projects with fees exceeding $5M and construction values over $50M.
• Preference given to local candidates.
