Severe Harms All-Source Investigator (AI/Blockchain Intelligence)

Location: Fully remote, US- or UK-based; occasional travel and periodic Washington, D.C.-based working sessions expected. Primary time-zone overlap: US Eastern / Central.

Salary: $120,000–$168,000 in the United States or $100,000–$140,000 in the United Kingdom, plus potential equity.

What you will do

• Run investigative caseloads from referral through disruption, including legal process, on-chain and off-chain intelligence fusion, and targeting.
• Conduct all-source collection using OSINT, link analysis, open-web and forum research, and direct engagement with subjects and sources.
• Build defensible attribution write-ups, target packages, and legal-process returns for law-enforcement, government, financial-institution, and exchange partners.
• Map criminal networks and trace financial rails connected to sextortion and CSAM monetization.
• Apply AI to accelerate casework while maintaining human judgment for sensitive investigative material.
• Follow victim-centered, trauma-informed practices and TRM protocols for evidence handling, escalation, mandatory reporting, and wellbeing.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant investigative or casework experience in illicit finance, financial crime, cybercrime, trust and safety, all-source intelligence, OSINT, direct human-source engagement, or a comparable law-enforcement or intelligence-adjacent field.
• Demonstrated ability to drive information to a real investigative outcome and collaborate effectively on shared cases and handoffs.
• Experience delivering answers under RFI-style time pressure and producing clear, defensible written packages under review.
• Required AI fluency, including practical use of AI in current work and sound judgment about its limitations.
• Working knowledge of subpoenas, warrants, preservation requests, or willingness to learn legal-process requirements.
• Sound judgment and resilience when working with emotionally demanding material, with at least some exposure to child exploitation, sextortion, serious organized crime, or closely adjacent investigations.

Nice to have

• Crypto or on-chain investigative experience.
• Familiarity with financial sextortion schemes, CSAM distribution networks, or platform-based grooming and extortion patterns.
