Internship (d/f/m) within Acoustics - Interior Noise (Aerospace)

Location: Hamburg, Germany, at the Finkenwerder plant

Salary: EUR 750 gross per month

What you will do

• Support acoustic engineers with measurements and analysis of interior noise data from aircraft types and test rigs.
• Develop and implement methodologies for noise source identification and characterization.
• Simulate and model aircraft interior noise propagation using acoustic software.
• Evaluate noise reduction solutions and their impact on acoustic performance.
• Prepare presentations on research findings and project progress.
• Conduct literature reviews and track developments in aircraft acoustics.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full time in a Master's degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• English proficiency, written and spoken, is required.
• Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in acoustics or fluid dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with acoustic measurement techniques and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of acoustic simulation software such as Actran, Nastran, or VA One.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
• German language skills.
