TL;DR

Patent Senior Engineer (Electronics): Managing patent analysis, applications, prosecution, and global intellectual property rights with an accent on prior-art research, claim analysis, and collaboration with inventors and patent counsel. Focus on drafting applications and responses to office actions in English, maintaining IPR effectiveness, and reviewing license agreements.

Location: New Taipei City, Taiwan; onsite

What you will do

Develop and execute intellectual property rights strategy.
Search for patents and prior use related to company technologies.
Analyze differences between existing technology and patent claims.
Manage patent applications with internal inventors and patent attorneys.
Maintain the effectiveness of intellectual property rights.
Conduct and review license agreements and handle related administrative affairs.

Requirements

More than 5 years of electronics-field experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
Solid experience in patent searching and drafting.
High-level English writing skills required, including drafting applications and responding to office actions in English.
Experience using Google Workspace tools.

Nice to have

Patent attorney registration in the United States, China, and/or Taiwan.
TIPS certificate.
