EMEA Applications Scientist (Genomics)

Location: Remote from Belgium

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a hirify.global operating company, develops genomics products and supports researchers working in areas including cancer, infectious disease, and rare genetic disorders.

What you will do

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for genomics-focused products.
• Recommend products and advise customers on product use, experimental design, and assay design.
• Troubleshoot applications using customer data and internal sales and manufacturing databases.
• Answer customer inquiries by phone, email, and chat.
• Consult with service departments and Sales on product questions, customer issues, and technical escalations.
• Manage the intake and completion of custom design requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• At least 3 years of experience with genomics applications in an industry or academic research laboratory, life science industry, or a related environment.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and typing proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or another relevant scientific discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with genomics applications.
