Senior Aerodynamics Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Design aircraft external shapes and deliver aerodynamic models, performance data, handling qualities, and loads for steady and unsteady conditions.
• Optimize aerodynamic solutions and provide validated data to internal and external customers within time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Develop and maintain aerodynamic technologies, methods, prediction tools, and technical competencies across the aircraft lifecycle.
• Apply numerical and experimental aerodynamic prediction tools and incorporate innovative technologies.
• Support safe separation analysis and experimental wind tunnel test campaigns.
• Collaborate with structures, loads, stability and control, mass properties, and external aerodynamics research communities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in aerodynamic design and characterization.
• Strong experience with meshing, numerical aerodynamic prediction tools, CAD tools, and generating aerodynamic databases from CFD and experimental data.
• Advanced written and spoken English and Spanish are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.

Nice to have

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with wind tunnel testing, safe separation analysis, Python, or Matlab.
• Advanced German and/or French.
