TL;DR
Ld Accountant (GAAP/Financial Reporting): Producing accurate financial statements and managing monthly and annual close activities across a multi-unit hospitality business with an accent on general ledger reconciliations, POS revenue accounting, insurance accounting, and material accruals. Focus on analyzing large data sets, resolving variances across multiple systems, supporting approximately eight venues, and using AI to improve accounting processes.

What you will do
- Produce accurate financial statements and support monthly and annual close processes.
- Post, balance, and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple entities in accordance with GAAP.
- Review and resolve point-of-sale variances, record non-POS revenue, and coordinate with Systems and Treasury teams.
- Prepare insurance, utilities, invoice, and other material accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support accounting for approximately eight venues, fiscal year-end reporting, audits, budgets, forecasts, and special projects.
- Improve and document accounting procedures and data flows, including the use of AI and participation in system implementations.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience; multi-unit, hospitality, restaurant, or retail experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and large data set analysis.
- Experience with general ledger systems, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; participates in E-Verify.
Nice to have
- CPA certification or active progress toward a CPA.
- Experience with Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, POS reconciliation tools, or AI accounting tools.
- Background in multi-unit hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment accounting.
